What is DesignPLUS?
DesignPLUS was developed to help you create and style course content that is attractive and accessible across a wide range of devices. DesignPLUS is comprised of rich content editor tools, the Multi-tool, and the Upload/Embed Image Tool.
All About the New Sidebar
The new DesignPLUS Sidebar was first made available at UK in September, 2023. The Legacy sidebar was no longer receiving new features, but it continued to be supported through the end of 2024.
As of December 2024, the Legacy DesignPLUS Sidebar is no longer available at UK because it will no longer be supported by its developer.
What do I need to know about the new Sidebar?
If you are accustomed to using the legacy DesignPLUS sidebar, the following documents were designed to help you in the transition process. Feel free to access them digitally, or print them if you prefer paper copies. Most of the documents are one page.

- Version Feature Comparison Links to an external site. - See the similarities and differences between the legacy and new Sidebar. This document also shows feature parity by identifying where the legacy sidebar features are found in the new Sidebar.
- Styling Legacy Content Links to an external site. - If you've been using the legacy sidebar for a while and have lots of pages with legacy content, this guide will help you see how to upgrade a page so that it is compatible with the new Sidebar.
