Information about the UK Disability Resource Center (DRC)
Welcome to the University of Kentucky Disability Resource Center in the Division of Student and Academic Life.The University of Kentucky Disability Resource Center partners with qualified students with disabilities to assist them in gaining equal access to institutional programs and services consistent with their unique needs. The Center seeks to responsibly advocate the needs of students with disabilities to the campus community through consultation and outreach efforts with administration, faculty, students and University partners. The DRC typically serves more than 1500 a year students with a wide array of disabilities and we hope this module provides valuable information related to various responsibilities, services and programs of the office. The first component of this module is a brief powerpoint presentation intended to provide a broad overview of the DRC and its services. The second component is a link to the DRC website, which is more comprehensive in nature. Please note this is a time of transition for the DRC, as we are are still adjusting policies and procedures due to the move to our new location and implementation of a new case management system. These changes could mean alterations in DRC policies and procedures, so we ask that you monitor your email, the DRC website or like us on Facebook or Twitter (@UK_DRC) to stay up to date on the happenings at the DRC.
TRACS is a physical and virtual one-stop hub where students can come to get a referral for supportive services (housing, rent, utilities, food) or receive direct clinical support for a range of mental health needs and crises.
