The University of Kentucky Counseling Center: Consultation and Psychological Services (UKCC), provides confidential psychological counseling to currently enrolled UK students and consultation services to currently enrolled UK students, UK faculty and staff, and caregivers.

University life can be a demanding and stressful experience. Learning to balance academics, athletics, work, family, and a social life is challenging and often requires learning and applying new skills. The Counseling Center seeks to provide a space for students to explore freely any personal problems or concerns they may not wish to share with family or friends. The Counseling Center offers short term counseling and therapy to support student's growth and assist students with mental health, academic and/ or other personal concerns that might interfere with academic performance or a sense of personal well-being while at UK.

The following counseling services are offered in order to meet each student's unique needs:

  • Individual
  • Couple
  • Groups and Workshops
  • Major/Career Counseling
  • Outreach Programming

 

JedCampus Seal

The University of Kentucky has been awarded the JedCampus Seal. The JedCampus program is a nationwide initiative of The Jed Foundation, designed to help colleges and universities explore and enhance their mental health and suicide prevention programming. Schools that demonstrate that they have comprehensive mental health programming as evidenced by the responses to the JedCampus self-assessment survey, receive a JedCampus Seal.
