Outcomes Upon completion of this module the student will be able to:
- Formulate the differential diagnoses of patients with common neurologic illness through the synthesis of data from a variety of sources using critical thinking, previous experience, and best practices.
- Interpret physiologic abnormality from head CT and other common radiological tests in critically ill adults.
- Formulate an evidence based plan of care from admission to discharge for common neurologic adult critical conditions.
- Critique the theoretical and scientific basis of interventions used to manage the health of patients and their families encountered in the critical care settings.
- Critique current issues and behaviors associated with the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner role.
I strongly suggest you learn Head CT in the Diagnostics module before doing this neuro module. You may also need to google some other references if you get lost in some of the content.
