Module 5: Microsoft Office

Text 5 Microsoft Office

Microsoft Office products include an accessibility checker built into the software. This checker locates elements that may cause accessibility issues for students with disabilities.
The Accessibility Checker verifies your file against a set of rules. It then classifies each issue as an error, warning, or tip, depending on the severity of the issue. As with any accessibility checker, it is not foolproof and is designed to provide guidelines to move content up the accessibility spectrum. It is a great supplemental tool for identifying and fixing common accessibility issues that may otherwise be overlooked.
