What is Zoom?
Zoom unifies cloud video conferencing, simple online meetings, and group messaging into one easy-to-use platform. Logging in via the Web Portal
To log into UK's Zoom platform, you can navigate to the www.uky.edu Links to an external site. website, select Resources, then Link Blue, and scroll to find and click on Zoom within the tool list.
You can also navigate directly to UK's Zoom platform by entering https://uky.zoom.us Links to an external site. in your browser address bar.
Logging in via Canvas
To log in and create, edit and launch meetings via Canvas, first, you'll have to enable it within each course you'd like to work in. You can do this by entering your course in Canvas, selecting Settings from the course menu, click on the Navigation tab, scroll down to find Zoom in the hidden items list. Within the hidden items list, click on the three vertical dots icon to the right of Zoom and select Enable. Be sure to save your changes at the bottom of the page after!
Logging in via the Zoom Client
Zoom also offers the opportunity to install a client on your Windows or Mac computer to schedule, edit, and launch zoom meetings from your desktop. You can download and install the Zoom Client for Meetings Links to an external site..
Once you have the Zoom Client installed on your computer, you can sign in using your linkblue login ID and password using the SSO sign-in options.
