Once you’ve installed Links to an external site. the Software Capture for PC application, you’re ready to begin recording from your Windows PC. Your recording options can be customized to meet your needs, from Screen Capture to Live Streaming.

Accessing the Software Capture for PC Application 

The Software Capture for PC application facilitates capture recording from any computer.

1. Navigate to Create Recording at the top of the screen.
2. Select Record from your Windows PC or Mac from the dropdown menu and click Start. The installed copy of the Software Capture for PC application will open on the computer.

Starting your Recording

Within just moments you can begin recording your capture. Only a few moments are required to provide a title and other information.

1. Make any necessary recording selections, including video, audio, screen, and whether or not to live stream your capture. In order to live stream your capture, you must have selected a Channel via the Share button above.
2. Press the Start button to begin your capture.
3. <liFinish button on the Software Capture for PC application, the Mini-bar or pressing Ctrl+Shift+F, the default hotkey sequence. The hotkey can be changed if desired.

When you press the Start button, you’ll have three seconds before recording begins. Use this time to bring up your files or presentation material on-screen, if you’re capturing your screen. Proceed with your recording – try to speak clearly and naturally!

Using the Mini-Bar

The Mini-bar provides an easy way, on your screen, to pause or stop a YuJa recording.

1. Press the Pause button to pause the Software Capture for PC application. Press Play when ready to resume recording.
2. Select the Stop button to stop your recording.

Deleting, Posting or Saving your Capture

When you complete your recording, you have some options available. If you have selected a Channel, you will have three options; Post, Save and Delete. If you do not choose a Channel, you will only see the Save and Delete options.

1. Press Post to post your file to a selected Channel.
2. Press Delete if you don’t want to keep the file.
3. Choose Save to save your capture recording to My Media

Once you’ve installed the Software Capture for Apple application, you’re ready to begin to record a capture using your Apple computer.

Accessing the Software Capture Application

The Software Capture for Apple application is used to record captures on a personal or room computer.

1. Navigate to Create Recording at the top of the screen.
2. Select Software Capture and Start. The installed copy of the Software Capture for Apple application will open on the Apple computer.

Starting your Recording

On-demand recordings require only moments to set up and start.

1. Enter a Title and Description for your capture, if desired.
2. Choose where to Publish and Save your content.
3. Make any necessary recording selections, including video, audio, screen and broadcasting. You may choose to save these selections as a Profile, but this is not required.
4. Press Start to begin recording. Stop recording using the Pause or Finish buttons, the Mini-bar or the available hotkeys.

USING THE MINI-BAR

The Mini-bar provides an easy way, on your screen, to pause or stop a YuJa recording.

1. Press the Pause button to pause the recording. Press Play when ready to resume recording.
2. Select the Stop button to stop your recording.

Deleting, Saving or Publishing Your Capture

When you complete your recording, you have three options available.

1. Click Post Now to post your recording and save it to Manage Media.
2. Press Delete if you don’t want to keep the file.
3. Choose Save to save your capture recording to your individual folder in Manage Media.
