eLibrary Resources
As of now, all library branches are now closed, and UK Libraries are now operating on an online service delivery model. Jennifer Horne is our Gatton library resource contact.
- Reference librarians are available daily via chat (“Ask Us Links to an external site.”) and by email at refdesk@uky.edu. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 9:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 am – 9:00 pm.

- She is also available for Zoom consultations with both students and faculty.
Because it is currently not possible for students or faculty to access the physical collection, the library has been adding electronic resources. They recently purchased a very large e-book collection (Ebook Central’s Academic Complete Links to an external site.) that contains more than 182,000 unlimited use titles. In addition, they purchased a University Press E-book collection Links to an external site., which adds an additional 10,000 titles. Overall, the library provides over 1.5 million e-books to patrons, and are available through the library catalog, Infokat Discovery Links to an external site.. If there is an e-book that you would like the library to purchase, please contact Jennifer directly.
In addition, many vendors have made electronic resources available for free to university libraries and library resources has taken advantage of these generous offers. These may be of interest:
- The EBSCO Harvard Business Review E-Book Collection Links to an external site. has been made available to UK for free by EBSCO. This collection includes 600 titles, including over 400 monographs, seminal works, and 150 article compilations of the HBR Classics Series. This collection is available with unlimited user access until May 30, 2020.
- IGI Global InfoSci-Books Links to an external site. contains over 5,300 reference books with over 100,000 chapters of emerging research. There is no embargo of content, and the research is available months in advance of print. The Business & Management section Links to an external site. alone has over 32,000 books, book chapters, and journal articles.
