Online Exam Proctoring
Respondus Training Video
Respondus
Respondus Monitor® builds upon the power of LockDown Browser, using a student’s webcam and industry-leading video analytics to prevent cheating during non-proctored exams. You won’t find a more cost-effective, student-friendly system for online proctoring. The University of Kentucky has licensed this product to be used, so there's not direct cost to the department or students.

Practice Exam: It would be a good idea to set up a practice exam in Canvas that uses Respondus monitor. This exam could have just a couple of trivial questions. This way students will be able to go through the Respondus process before taking the real exam. It includes checking connections and hardware for issues.

You may paste the direct link into your content in Canvas, the link to the student page is https://uk.instructure.com/courses/1986494/pages/respondus-taking-your-online-exams
You may also paste the contents of the link above directly into you page. Please watch the short tutorial below that describes how you can add those contents to your Canvas shell.
Tutorial: Copying the contents of a page in Canvas
If you are planning to copy a page that was not created by you, the Edit button will not be visible. In this case, just highlight and copy the contents of the original page.
Make sure to setup a New Page first, that page will be the destination where you will add your new contents. Not sure how to create a page? This link will provide you with more information:

Technical problems
Students themselves can submit technical support tickets by visiting the following URL -https://support.respondus.com/support/index.php?/Default/Tickets/Submit/RenderForm/2 Links to an external site.. When they are filling out the support ticket, they will want to be sure to select “Student” as their Role.
There is also 24/7 live chat support within LockDown Browser if the quiz/exam requires Respondus Monitor (webcam recording); live chat is not available to quizzes/exams that only use LockDown Browser. To access live chat support, students need to be in LockDown Browser and in their Canvas course shell – from there they select the “Help Center Links to an external site.” button on the toolbar of LockDown Browser.
