GRK201-001: Intermediate Greek (Fall 2021)

This course is the third in the 4-semester sequence of language acquisition courses for ancient Greek. In this course students will consolidate the principles of ancient Greek Grammar and Syntax while reading adapted Greek texts and finally transitioning to texts in the original language. In this particular version for Fall 2021 we will be reading adapted Greek texts from JACT’s Reading Greek Text and Vocabulary and selections from Longus, Daphnis and Chloe, Lucian’s True Histories, and Plato’s Crito and Republic. If time permits we will also read selections from Herodotus and Thucydides.
