Quality Improvement Project: (30% of final grade)

Students will apply the Model for Improvement and evidenced-based practice to a selected problem.  This assignment has 2 components: an evidence table and a PowerPoint presentation. Working in teams, students

• Will conduct a review of evidence to identify testable interventions for QI project. Students are expected to develop an evidence table of 5-10 sources, develop a synthesis table of their findings, and present a succinct overview of relevant findings from the evidence.
• Are expected to present an overview of the improvement process in a scholarly PowerPoint.
• You select an evidence-based practice implementation model (See Chapter 13 in Melnyck & Fineout-Overholt, 2015). Working with your practice partners, analyze implementation factors using your selected model as a framework. Based on your analysis of the implementation model, make recommendations for getting an innovation into practice. Then, using your readings as a guide, identify at least 2 recommendations to sustain the innovation in practice. Include the implementation and sustainability plans in your presentation.
