Module #1: AG-ACNP Role and Scope of Practice and the Essentials of AG-ACNP practice

Required Reading:

  1. Consensus Model for APRN Regulation: Licensure, Accreditation, Certification & Education (LACE),  Download Consensus_Model_for_APRN_Regulation_July_2008.pdf State boards of nursing needed some standardization to adequately protect the public about competence of various advanced practice roles. This model most nursing organizations agreed to use. There has been much discussion around this and is likely part of the reason you are seeking additional certification. There is talk of updating this document but not real dramatic changes are expected.  Look for where the AGACNP role is on this model. We are not happy so it is important for you to know why we are not happy.
