  • Points 2
  • Submitting a discussion post
  • Available Oct 8, 2018 at 12am - Oct 14, 2018 at 11:59pm
This assignment was locked Oct 14, 2018 at 11:59pm.

Consider the contextual features of the unit on which you will implement your program, so that you will have a clear understanding of how the culture, politics, attitudes, resources, and overall environment of the unit will influence the success of the implementation and evaluation process. Using the guidelines from the NIRN Hexagon Tool and Patton, as described in the PowerPoint slides:

  • List 3 contextual factors that, in your opinion, will facilitate implementation and evaluation of the EBP on your unit.
    • For each facilitating factor, list one strategy you can use to optimize and promote this facilitator on the unit to ensure success of implementation and evaluation
  • List 3 contextual factors that, in your opinion, will present a barrier to implementation and evaluation of the EBP on your unit.
    • For each barrier--list one strategy you can use to reduce or minimize it to ensure success of implementation and evaluation.

Please note that these facilitators and barriers must be specific to the unit in which you plan to implement your program. Colleagues, please contribute suggestions for other strategies that may enhance the stated facilitating factors and reduce or minimize the stated barriers.
