Step One: Take your ALEKS practice test to unlock your individualized study modules.

To access your free ALEKS account click here.

You will take a brief survey (if you do not know your last mathematics class please make your best guess) and tutorial
You will then automatically start your practice (unproctored test)

All attempts after the practice test must be proctored and you are only allowed two (2) proctored attempts.

Step Two: Spend a minimum of three hours working in the learning modules.

Click here to log back into your ALEKS account to access your learning modules.
These modules will be available after the practice test and are individualized to create a study plan to better prepare you for taking the proctored placement test.

Students who are actively engaged in their learning modules for 6-8 hours tend to show the most growth on their proctored test.

You will need to register for you ALEKS account by following the directions in step 1. Please note, once you create your account the ALEKS placement testing program will give you a practice test to help you become familiar with the testing format and unlock individual math topics for you to focus on and reviews do not count as your score!

Once you complete your practice test you will work on your individual modules for at least 3 hours, then wait at least 48 hours to take your proctored placement test, and register for a proctored placement test. You have three options to take your ALEKS placement test. You can take your proctored placement test at home with ProctorU.
