Hello Wildcat and welcome to the University of Kentucky. We are excited to help you prepare you for next steps towards a successful first year. I’m Matt, a tutor at Transformative Learning. Transformative Learning is your one-stop-shop for academic support. From tutoring, to academic coaching, to preparation coursework, to placement testing, and so much more, we are here to support you on your journey at UK. Today, we are going to focus on helping you complete your required placement testing. You will receive an overview of the purpose of placement testing, steps for taking you ALEKS or ACCUPLACER placement testing, best practices for testing, and general information. Please listen carefully so you can take your required placement tests as soon as possible and be one step closer to your personal path at the University of Kentucky.

By following best testing practices and taking your proctored placement tests you will be placed in the mathematics, reading, and/or writing courses that are best for your learning.
