Quick tips on using Zoom
- Make sure your camera is pointed at you during your conversations
- Before you use Zoom for teaching, please make sure you have enabled the HD option under camera settings, do not enable screen mirroring if you plan on writing on a board. Also, under the general tab, you may enable the 2 monitor option that will help you move the participants to a different screen.
- Avoid distracting or backgrounds with a strong back light (windows)
- Record your meeting so students can refer back to your lecture if needed
- Share your screen if you'd like to show some external resources or your computer desktop
- Mute everyone during large meetings to avoid background noise
- Turn off participant video for large meetings
