How to Document Your NTI Days
If your school is approved for NTI or your FCPS teachers are working without students in the classroom, you will need to document the time and work you completed.
You will report your work on a weekly basis, similar to how you report your days in OTIS. We recommend a word processing document or spreadsheet where you can indicate the:
1) Date
2) What you worked in - instructional materials, engaging your students, online sessions, family phone calls, etc.
3) The amount of time you spent (Note, you should be spending a minimum of 18 hours a week on engagement with the NTI days. This is about 3-4 hours a day.)
You will upload that at the end of each week in the appropriate assignment week category in this module. The "grade" you receive for the assignment will be the number of days you enter into OTIS /UK TOTE (e.g., 5 days). When you enter the number of days into OTIS/UK TOTE for your weekly student teaching report, you will leave the co-teaching strategies blank. In the description box put "NTI Days COVID-19". Then click submit.
That's it!
