Webinar Title: High Impact Strategies for Sustaining Girls’ Academic Interest in College and Career Pursuits in Mathematics

Description: From a Whole Child Approach to Education, we know social and emotional skills develop in direct connection to student academic learning. In alignment with the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) framework, especially as it pertains to girls and women, the webinar will—

  • address the need for accelerating the science of human development into the teaching and learning of mathematics, especially as it applies to girls; and
  • identity the SEL competencies, their effective teaching and learning strategies, and best practices for engaging and transforming girls’ sustaining approach in learning mathematics.

Participants will come away from the webinar with an enhanced understanding of the importance of incorporating SEL competencies into the teaching and learning of mathematics.
