There are two parts to your discussion this week.

1) Choose one of the videos and Identify the NGSS Engineering Design Practices (found in Design|Make|Play Book or here Links to an external site.) you feel like are used or could be used in the classroom with the example.

2) Then take one of the many examples in the videos (just a small example) and go through the seven fundamental principles of design (The Design of Everyday Things book, p. 71 (yellow book)). Does it meet all the principles? If not, where does it or might it fail? Are there any areas of deficiency? Don't forget to make suggestion on how to make it better..."Don't criticize unless you can do better."

Post to the discussion by Wednesday and comment on at least 2 other posts by Friday weighing in on their critiques and suggestions.
